Congrats Karis & James!

Dress: Yakira - by Justin Alexander Signature

Yakira is a captivating strapless ball gown crafted from exquisite sparkle-backed Chantilly lace, designed to shimmer with every step. The romantic sweetheart neckline complements a beautifully structured silhouette, while crisp box pleats create graceful volume throughout the skirt. Delicate tonal beaded lace appliqués add dimension and artistry, and hidden pockets offer a modern touch of practicality. A row of tulle-covered buttons trails down the back, extending to the end of the chapel-length train for an elegant and timeless finish.

What did you love most about your gown?

“I loved the lace and all of the intricate detail on my dress. It was absolutely stunning. When I first came to look at dresses, I had the hardest time choosing, but the moment I put the dress on, I just knew it was meant to be. I wanted to feel like a princess on my big day, and I truly did. I was obsessed with every part of the dress and never wanted to take it off!”

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding?

“The most memorable moment of my wedding was sitting with my husband at dinner and looking around, thinking, “Wow, we are so lucky to have so many people here who love us.” In that moment, everything felt so special. From then on, simply spending every second together made the day even more meaningful.”

Bridal Advice from Karis

“The morning of my wedding, I woke up feeling incredibly anxious. It was hard to calm down, but once I got to the venue, I was finally able to breathe again. My biggest piece of advice is to remember that the small details, family dynamics, and everything else you’re worrying about will work themselves out. The plan for my day didn’t go exactly how I imagined, but it still turned out to be the perfect day, and I’m forever grateful for every moment of it.”

Tell Us More

“It rained the entire afternoon during our outdoor wedding. We didn’t plan to do a first look or anything like that, but because of the weather, we had to completely change our plans to get portraits. Even though things didn’t go the way we expected, everything still felt so special. They say rain on your wedding day is good luck because a wet knot is harder to untie. The rain actually started during our ceremony while we were tying our unity cross, which made the moment feel even more meaningful and special to us.”
